My exams are coming. it’s the finals. I just want to study. I don’t want to be involved in any of this stupid family shit. Is that really so much to ask for? this morning, news of the passing of “King of Pop” Michael Jackson, aged 50, reached Singapore. and twitter was FLOODED with condolences from celebs and people in general.

and so did news of Farrah Fawcett, best known for her role in tv serie's Chalie's Angels.

while i didn't know very well, who Farrah Fawcett was,
i sort of grew up listening to Michael Jackson, watching his concerts on tv and stuff. and like people all over the world, i too remember the first time i watched the Thriller video and the first time we all saw the legendary Moonwalk. and of course the smooth criminal video.

well, the first week of attachment is over, finally, and it ain't good, but it ain't too bad either..

posted to O&G ward in NUH, wasn't what i expected. so the plan was every one of us would get only ONE day in the nursery and ONE day in the delivery suite. and the remaining days would be spent in the general O&G ward.

been to the nursery already, on the 18th, and i quite like it there i would say.

delivery suite on the 24th.. hope its full..

oh, and in the general wards, somehow, nothing much really happens so we end up doing the usual stuff, parameters and all..
but its still good...

sighhh... pm shift tmr.. bet time is gonna cccrrraaawwwllll......

and the PDA we bought for 550bucks just sucks. plus the internet connection works only when it feels like it = sucks even more.

and basically, i passed, but it sucked cos we were taught the wrong thing, and that the teacher had a permanent **** face and didn't know how to compromise.

well, so i finally forced myself to type...
hmm.. well.. nothing much to say..

so lately, to sum it all up,
i've re-read the twilight saga,
been stuck on youtube 24/7 watching mindless stuff,
stuck on facebook's pet society,
gave up on facebook's pet society,
twitter-ed,
baked muffins, oddly enough 1/2 the tray was successful, the other half burnt. yea convection setting. remind me.
applied for a 4-day job a tad too late, hence, failure in aquiring it -.-,
finally applied for the french course,
moped around like a slug,
packed on the pounds.. (the jiggly kind)..

and basically, i think my comp will be like so happy it'll just jump out the window when attachment starts, hmm, which is in like.. 3 days.. uh-oh.. yeah.. its that near and i JUST realised the urgency of it all.. DAMN!

Today, I slept over at my friend's house but forgot my glasses. When I woke up in the morning, I came out of his room and forcefully kicked what I thought was a soccer ball on the floor. Turns out it was his miniature poodle - it fell down a long flight of stairs. FML
Today, I went to my friend's house. While she went to the kitchen, I noticed a little pink pastry on her desk. It looked really good, so I decided to take a bite before she got back. As I bit into it, a sizzling noise started, and foam overflowed in my mouth. It was a bath bomb. FML
Today, I stayed over at my grandparents' house. I woke up and had to brush my teeth. My grandma asked if I had found a toothbrush to use. I told her that I used my old purple toothbrush. She told me that was the toothbrush she used to brush her toenails. FML
Today, I was wearing my workout clothes that consist of short shorts and a tank top and was walking to my car. I then heard a bunch of men whistling and saying "Who's your daddy?" and "Why don't you come over here, cutie." As I got closer I realized that it was my dad and his friends. FML
Today, our school had tryouts for chorus. Everybody sang a snippet of the song together until the teacher stopped us, saying it sounded awful. He singled me out and told me to sing alone. After I sang the part, he said, "Son, your gift to God will be silence." FML
Today, I was curling my eyelashes in my bathroom and while I was counting to 5 my brother flung open my door. I jumped and ended up ripping out all my eyelashes. Now I have to wait until they grow back. FML
Today, I realized that my roommate has been using my loofah to clean our toilet. I've been cleaning myself with the shit of four college boys for the last six months. FML
Today, I waited two hours for my turn in the hospital. I was sitting next to an old lady with Alzheimer who asked me 43 times if I wanted a biscuit. FML
Today, I got a text message. My phone was sitting on the edge of the bed and set on vibrate, so it fell off. I reached down to grab my phone and fell off the bed. My macbook landed on top of me. I fractured my arm and broke my laptop to read a text from facebook. FML

French Exam was a killer. to the core.
we didn't even learn enough vocab to write those sentences and what? an essay full of it??
in the end, i think i did only just fine for sections 1 & 2. probably manage a pass each. but i think i'm gonna flunk the essay big time. and good news is? its 20 marks. awesome.
sian. i wanna sign up for 103 next semester again. that is if i pass this time round. what the hell.

NR presentation. gotta re-do. which is hell. not fair i tell you. why is it that other tutorials can get an A for our standard, while we have to re-do? its always us la. why ah?

Friday

Wednesday was quite sucky for me... boo.
cabbed to school cos i was freaking late for class. AGAIN. like forever.
but i shouldn't have.. a day's allowance gone. :( and the lesson wasn't much help either.

whatever.

then it was cmbio, which was totally @_@

and then it was french. test today instead of last week, cos got talks by french organisations...
and i sucked totally for the test. wth. it could have been much much much much better can. :( so bad i want to cry.
very very unsatisfied. very very frustrated. very very angry. very very emo-ified.
next week, yet another test on L'imperatif.
also next week, there will be AAP practical test which i would totally have to buck up for.
ALSO next week, SAWI presentation.

Good news about New Moon from director Chris Weitz:

I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.

The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

Remembrance Sunday @ Kranji War Memorial

went for the Remembrance Sunday Ceremony today with Qi. met her at YT at 7am.. cause the ceremony starts at 7:30am.. wahaha late queen was late again!!

ahem. anyway, went to Kranji War Memorial to do the SAWI project lo. and we were so "heng" it rained. -.- despite that, there were many many people attending!! many foreigners too!! came down specially to see their relatives' grave..

reached there, just in time for the presentation of the poppy wreaths. then followed by the 2-mins silence, followed by "The Post". then a few hymns...
ended ard 8am or so wor.. quite fast. so we proceeded to walk ard.. bought the poppies.. then took some pics for the project.

the Kranji War Memorial was really beautiful and peaceful.. with the extremely neat and manicured lawns.. its all quiet and green and very very relaxing. oh gosh. i'm like out of word to describe this place la. but its AWESOME.

currently my SAWI is like only 45% done la. gone case.

NSL Practical Test is like 0% revised? gosh.

okay. so tomorrow got extra class of the eff-ing aap. and i so don't eff-ing know what the teacher is saying.

so today, i tried to switch on my desktop. and it died as predicted. shat.
then i went to try the laptop. and guess what? it went crazy too and hanged everytime it reaches the start menu. goodness.. then i gave up..

and i finally started revising!!! =D like just highlight stuff la.. nothing went in.. but at least i read up right? boo. revised a bit only though.. :(

so.. i'm using my mum's lappie now.. :X shhh.. dun say i say one..

holy tian. tmr got a damn cmbio quiz and i didn't even open my cmbio book for revision today. nope. not one single bit. and i think i'm going to die. oh ma gosh. motivation is missing man. gee..

i am slacking.. more and more.. no matter how much i try to study. and as usual, nothing ever goes in... sighhhh...

SAWI assignment, NR assignment, Pharm mel quiz, nsl worksheet, french assignment.

good lord.

oh, and there isn't nsl tmr yo. so BY RIGHT, school will start with stupid fon at 8 freaking am, then at 10am we'll have a 2hr long break. after that, will be fon tutorial. for one hour, then 2 hour break again. then 2 hrs of bloody aap.

would you want to go to school if you were me? maybe.
but i don't. i don't want to go to school so FREAKING early for just 2 hrs of lecture followed by a 2 hr break. i don't want.

why is school so unappealing this semester? tell me pls.

around 2:30am, i was rudely awakened by a stupid bloody tiny mosquito. damn it. 5 bites.
so i was damn angry la. the bites were HUGE okay. spent 15 mins "hunting" for the damn pest.

saw it on my beloved bolster lor. then i tried to catch it la. nb. thought i got it. but i opened the tissue to find it empty lor. nb. so went back to sleep after fruitless searching for a bit more.

then 15 mins later, 6 more freaking bites appeared okay.
so got up yet again. found it. (supposedly) caught it. nb. spent yet another 20 mins waiting and searching for it okay.

then finally gave up. and spent the whole damn night on the couch lor. and it was bloody sweltering.

so idiot okay. then came back from school. found it. (supposedly) caught it again lor.

walau.. i think this particular mosquito is reincarnation of Houdini lor. asshole.

wa... just now de CSI shi scary de lor.

i can't seem to concentrate on school work and i'm so frustrated!!!!!
nevertheless... i'm happy that i finished my nsl, french and 1/2 of my SAWI assignment la.

eh..the other 1/2 of the dumb SAWI dun care alr la. dunno how to do lo. sian. and i find it so dumb that nursing students have to study things like SAWI. Singapore and World Issues. Well.. we may need to know about economy and stuff like that. but do we need to go as far as writing essays on places of interest in singapore!?!!??! i dun get it lor!!! ROARRRR

oh ya.. just so you guys know, there's a finance quiz on mel you can do. gives you ONE cca point just for doing the boring boring quiz. ya.. i'm desperate la. who cares man. dun say i never share hor. LOL.
